Nefyn was once famous for its herring fishing industry. It’s easy to get to from Chorlton, Whalley Range, Fallowfield, and of course, Gorton.

If you are looking for something a little more adventurous, why not try some of the lovely off road cycle routes – there is even a National Cycle Route 45 going right through the Cotswold Water Park, on its way from Salisbury to Cirencester.

You follow the river passing Pendlebury and Clifton where a lovely off road section takes you by Clifton Country Park.
