Inc. from the furniture competition is based on our custom work, our trade in, buy out, and refurbish/repurpose services. On a hot day, it will be hot, as only a few buildings have A/C. Texas history, flight history and great stories. My sister threw the most adorable 1st birthday for my nephew yesterday and the Space was perfect on the 2nd floor landing overlooking the multiple fighter jets and various aircraft. I think they lost some vintage aircraft to Hurricane Ike's storm surge when it hit the Coast in 2008. Be warned it's not easy to find I had to use my Google Maps to find the place and it was a 40-45 minute drive but totally worth it! Our contact Aimee is always amazing and very helpful. This place is so kewl, I hated that it got damaged from a hurricane and few years ago and moved from Galveston, but what they have done with it at Ellington is amazing! Had last visited the Lone Star Flight Museum when it was still based in Galveston and it has fairly recently moved to Ellington to be more protected from hurricane damage. Women were highly represented in the exhibitions and as we went on a Friday morning we had little to but us while we were looking. Small museum for the warbird and aviation enthusiast Nice little museum. Wonderful to see so many different warbirds flying and offering rides. They have overlooks in each of the hagars to get an overhead view of all of the aircraft. My wife and I took our Grandson who is infatuated with airplanes and he really enjoyed it. The hangars are huge! Good for 3 year olds who love planesWonderful place with a very helpful staff. I arrived planning to stay for about an hour and a halThis place is really good but if you have kids like myself wait to visit. Their collection of flying warbirds is impressive and should not be missed if you are anywhere around … It was an incredible journey through history and is highly recommend to anyone big on learning about history or aviation! This place is about a mile from my house, and I frequently take grandkids here. Just a few of the planes they have on display are a Boeing B-17, a Mitchell B-25, an A-26 Invader, a Dauntless Navy Dive Bomber, a Curtiss Helldiver, a Gruman Hellcat, Russian Migs, a Douglas Skyraider, a Douglas DC-3, an AT-6 Texan trainer, PiperCub, and many more. I hope they can keep the displays in as good a working order as they are now, and I also hope they can add a rotating display to keep members interested in coming back again and again. Took my engagement photos here. They have an orientation theater set up to help you get an idea of what they have. Children included!Great place for events. The hands onA well presented museum offering a great insight in the origins of the ariport and flight in the USA. We ventured to the new Lone Star Museum on MLK day because kiddos were out of school and they were offering Free Admission for children. It has a good area to keep kids interested, and mock airplanes for them to play in. I wound up staying 3 1/2 hours on last Saturday afternoon. Overall it is a very impressive facility and I'm sure it will do great where it is. Great place to walk around and see planes, including biplanes from WW I and Migs from Vietnam war. I bought the Yelp coupon for this place and funny enough I got there and showed it to the guy and he didn't know anything about it, instead of just dismissing me he was super nice called the owner and made sure that I got…"Book us for your next Social Distancing Pop Up Movie Night in your neighborhood or Backyard!
