Seller of Travel Ref. My most recent experience I found the course in great shape as the grounds crew does a magnificent job. Recommend this course You will use every club in your bag, whether you play from the whites or the tips. Whatever’s the case, one thing doesn’t change. Calling this a public course doesn't do it justice.best course this side of Oakmont.

Two less par 5's makes the white tees plenty long! Beautiful greens . Nice interesting and unique layout, never too crowded that I've seen.Several holes are on the slide of a mountain, which are a little sketchy, but easily overlooked on an overall basis.Plain truth is it's a nice track, and everything is positive except that it is ridiculously overpriced. I Recommend This Course Northern California Amateur Championship. You always have a great lie in the fairway and the greens are fast and true. The 2nd of which is one of the hardest par 3's I've played (and i've played a ton) given the awkward angle, forced carry and trouble surrounding the green. While it's a great course and an awesome overall experience I'm not sure it's worth the $150-$175 regular rate given it's location. I can imagine I would've given it five stars if it were earlier in the season so I almost feel guilty about not giving it five stars.Pace was great and the starters ensure that groups are spread out enough so we won't be playing up behind anyone or have anyone playing up on us (even though the group behind us did but that's a long story).I love the clubhouse that's designed like a castle. Elevation change, water, well planned landing areas, and forest lined fairways are hallmarks of most holes on this robust track which can play from 5241 all the way out to 7103. The two consecutive par 3's on back were very tough imo. Each tee box will provide a fun but challenging round. Mark my word.A great course no matter what your handicap or skill level. They are so friendly and accommodating. The course and restaurant has allegedly been on the market for several years.Former owner Rick Hvizdak developed the multi-million dollar golf course and 30,000 square foot castle-like restaurant/clubhouse in 1999, and Olde Stonewall officially opened in June of that year.In its first year of operation, Old Stonewall was selected in Golf Magazine’s illustrious Top Ten new public courses of 1999, and is currently ranked in the top 50 public courses in the United States by Golf Digest.“It will undoubtedly be a difficult task to improve upon what is already recognized as the state’s premier public golf course,” as stated in the release, “but [Mr. Nocito] is committed to enhancing the experience for golfers and their families.Lincoln High School Posts Return to School Plan Survey For ParentsLongtime Local Grocery Store Loccisano’s To Close; To Re-Open As Shop ‘n Saveon "Reposted from 2012: Olde Stonewall Purchased by Sewickley Man"

The course uses its bunkers, and to a lesser degree water hazards, judiciously to defend landing areas and greens without being overly excessive or punitive.

Once holding the #50 spot on golf Digests “top 100 courses you can play” list and a “top ten best new courses” winner in 1999 “Epic” seems appropriate. There are multiple high vista holes throughout the course with fantastic views of the surrounding areas and really elevated tee boxes; for example, the Epic tee box on the 474 yard par four 16th (which I played because once you stand there, there’s no way you are walking back down to the Medieval tees) turned my 220-230 yard 3 wood into a 281 yard “driver.” However, for my money, the best golf hole is the far more sedate number four.

The starter then came to get us on the range when we were next on the tee, about twenty minutes after our initial tee time. The conditions were fantastic considering the time of the year. Fla. Copyright 2020 Golf Advisor.
