I personally wish Koe would do everything acoustically but I have learned to love how he does his music. It took me several times to really take in Koe’s stuff. It includes that Koe Wetzel also sings with these grunge inflections that will immediately run afoul of the country side of Texas music. Even though people flock to Koe for the party, they stay for the stories that they feel they can relate to, whether it’s being wasted and wanting some Taco Bell, or your girlfriend leaving you for a banker living in a city she said she hated.

I have read other articles about this guy that do make the CCR comparison. I was just trying to give some context about where he came from.
